Since its founding, Burt Blee has practiced substantially in all areas of real estate law. We represent builders, commercial and residential developers, and local municipalities. Our attorneys provide counsel with builders, subcontractors and material providers for issues that may arise during the course of construction projects. We also assist clients with obtaining subdivision, variance and land-use approvals, zoning permits and environmental approvals.
Burt Blee has significant experience in the growing area of “lake law,” including pier placement and rights; riparian rights; and zoning, platting and construction issues that are common with lakefront communities. Our other areas of practice include condominium developments, environmental laws, regulations affecting real estate transactions and development, and real estate title issues.

On December 3, 2024, the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Texas granted a nationwide preliminary injunction that enjoins the federal government from enforcing the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) through its decision in Texas Top Cop Shop, Inc., et al. v. Garland, et al., Docket No. 4:24-cv-00478 (E.D. Tex. May 28, 2024).
