David is an associate at Burt Blee licensed in Indiana and Ohio. As an attorney who focuses on Elder Law and Estate Planning, David has assisted many families plan for long term care needs, Medicaid eligibility, and succession planning for Farming and Business clients. His practice also includes natural extensions of those areas of law including Wills and Trusts, Estate Administration, Guardianship, POA/Healthcare Representative Documents, Real Estate, LLC, and etc.
David is an active member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and the Elder Law Sections of both the Ohio and Indiana Bar Associations. He is a VA certified attorney, and a regularly presents for NBI, a national continuing legal education provider, on matters related to his area of practice.
David strives to give back to the communities he works in and is currently on the board of the Wells County Counsel on Aging. He also frequently donates time to the Volunteer Lawyer Program in Fort Wayne, helping ensure those with limited means have equal access to legal services. David regularly presents educational materials on his areas of practice to local groups and organizations to help ensure those who need it have an understanding of their options related to estate planning and long term care planning, including Medicaid.
